Kensington Garden Club Mission
Organized in 1955, the club operates exclusively on a nonprofit basis for charitable and educational purposes, and for the well-being of the community and public benefit. The Club promotes civic beauty, encourages improvement of public spaces, raises awareness of environmental concerns and advances the art of floral design and horticulture.
We accomplish the club's mission through the active involvement of our members and the community's support of our fundraisers.

2023 Scholarship winner is passionate about the
environment and climate
Each year, the Kensington Garden Club presents a scholarship to a student interested in agronomy, botany, conservation, forestry, environmental control, horticulture, landscape design, land management, or plant science and related fields. This year, the club is proud to announce the scholarship winner is Alex Miloszewski.
Alex moved to Berlin when he was about two years old. He has already begun his studies as a freshman at Cornell University where he is majoring in earth and atmospheric sciences with a concentration in environmental science. Alex has found inspiration
Alex’s future plans are to work in environmental research and to collaborate with the government to make decisions that will have a positive impact on our environment and our changing climate.
from climate change documentaries and intends to work to establish a stable climate so that agricultural practices can remain in the same areas. He points to a story about California wineries that have had to move north because warmer temperatures have adversely affected their grapes. Alex was also inspired by his AP Environmental Science class and spoke of the teacher, Mr. Morgan Hanna, as someone who encouraged him to pursue a career in environmental science.
