The Kensington Garden Club displayed the 2nd Annual ‘Veterans Day Memorial Tree’ to honor those who have served. The tree will be on display at the Berlin Peck Memorial Library for the month of November. Like last year’s tree, decorations will include ornaments with the names of local Veterans as well as local residents' family members that have served. Our club had a wonderful floral design program On November 16th, 2017. Nationally Certified Garden Club Master Judge Trish Manfredi was our speaker who demonstrated to members and guests several techniques that can be used for holiday decorating and table centerpieces. Marjorie Moore Bird Sanctuary was Named a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation in October 2015 The requirements for certification are providing food, water, cover and a place for wildlife to raise their young. The Kensington Garden Club planted a Northern Red Oak on May 20, 2016. These current photos taken by Bonnie show how fantastic our oak tree is doing. This photo was taken October 2017. BERLIN FAIR 2017- Our club had silk wreaths, silk centerpieces, décor and fresh mums & pumpkins available for fair goers to purchase. They were all hand made by our club members. Fall and autumn colors were well represented at our club booth that helped start off the fall season right!
